### Section 2-14 : Absolute Value Equations

For problems 1 – 5 solve each of the equation.

1. $$\left| {4p - 7} \right| = 3$$ Solution
2. $$\left| {2 - 4x} \right| = 1$$ Solution
3. $$6u = \left| {1 + 3u} \right|$$ Solution
4. $$\left| {2x - 3} \right| = 4 - x$$ Solution
5. $$\displaystyle \left| {\frac{1}{2}z + 4} \right| = \left| {4z - 6} \right|$$ Solution

For problems 6 & 7 find all the real valued solutions to the equation.

1. $$\left| {{x^2} + 2x} \right| = 15$$ Solution
2. $$\left| {{x^2} + 4} \right| = 1$$ Solution
