### Section 3-4 : The Definition of a Function

14. Determine the domain of the following function.

$A\left( x \right) = 6x + 14$ Show Solution

Recall that the domain is simply all the values of $$x$$ that we can plug into the function and the resulting function value will be a real number.

In this case we can see that no matter what value of $$x$$ we plug into the function 6 times that number plus 14 will be a real number and so for this function the domain is all real numbers.
