Section 4.12 : Differentials

1. Compute the differential for \(f\left( x \right) = {x^2} - \sec \left( x \right)\).

Show Solution

There is not really a whole lot to this problem.

\[\require{bbox} \bbox[2pt,border:1px solid black]{{df = \left( {2x - \sec \left( x \right)\tan \left( x \right)} \right)dx}}\]

Don’t forget to tack on the \(dx\) at the end!
